The Comms Geek

Employee Communications, Intranets, and SharePoint

About The Comms Geek

I know you’re supposed to proclaim yourself a “leading expert” in your blog bio, but that’s not really my style. Instead, I’ll just introduce myself this way: My name is Caleb Lamz and here’s what I think makes me unique…

I’m an internal communicator who specializes in using words and media to engage employees (the “Comms” part), and developing the technology that enables it (the “Geek” part). My specialty is developing SharePoint-based intranets and customizing them for effective communication and ease-of-use. I also have some expertise in social intranet features, online video, web-based training, digital signage, and graphic design (just don’t call me a graphic designer).

The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences, ideas, and things I’ve learned while using technology to drive communication. It’s also my humble attempt to give back to the awesome online communities around employee communications, intranets, and SharePoint that have taught me so much.
